Mapping Natures Terrain No.1
Walking Unexamined Terrain – a Processual Map. As I Walk on nature’s terrain I physically and visually map my footfalls as a way of making sense of the world. This work is as much about the process as the result. By overlaying the papers surface with delicate marks of a journey of examination and discovery I am attempting to demonstrate process as the reflection of a sense of placement. This work is in an observation of process – creating a connection to nature that transcends the mind and echoes the processual sense of belonging to no place in particular, yet at the same time belonging everywhere.
