Limited edition copy of a line drawing of a pregnant male seahorse carapace found along a long stretch of light sand running along the pristine east coast of Tasmania north of the Freycinet Peninsula known as “The Friendly Beaches”. Spanning 23 kilometers the friendly beach has a gradual, tapered pitch down to the water, making it a nice surface for a long beach walk and is a setting for many of my subject explorations. The original pencil drawing measures (… cm x …cm) and is intended to capture both the delicate beauty and fragility of the seahorse along with it’s iterative, linear, and geometric qualities. The geometric qualities of the seahorses endoskeleton is extrapolated and extends to background lines to complete the description of the constructional elements and the beautiful puzzle that is reflected in nature.
